Our 14th November 2013 CQC Inspection Report has been published …

The report from our inspection on the 14th November 2013 found we meet their standards and has been published on the CQC website:

Broad Street Dental Practice

The summary of the inspection on the site says:

“We observed three people’s appointments and spoke with five people by telephone. People told us they were happy with the service they received. One person said, “They are excellent all the way round” and another commented, “I couldn’t speak more highly of them”. People told us that their dentists explained clearly what they were doing. We saw this happen during three people’s appointments. One person said, “Yes, they explain all the time”. Another person told us that the dentist had drawn a diagram to show them what had been done. We saw that the dental team were friendly and put people at their ease. There was medication, a defibrillator and oxygen available for certain medical emergencies and staff were trained to know what to do if a person became unwell at the practice. The practice was clean and people we spoke with told us they thought standards of cleanliness were very good. There were suitable arrangements for the cleaning, sterilising and storing of instruments. Staff described these procedures to us confidently. The dental team were qualified and maintained their continuous professional development (CPD) as required by the General Dental Council (GDC). The practice had arrangements for monitoring the quality of the service and for assessing and reducing any risks to people using the service, or staff. The new practice manager planned to develop these further as part of a programme of continuing improvement.”
