Clear Aligner Therapy is now available at the surgery and only available through our trained dentists.

What are clear aligners?

Clear Aligners, also known as invisible or transparent aligners, can be an alternative to fixed braces and can correct common bite issues, like overbites. A clear aligner is a transparent tray made from plastic that fits over your teeth, helping to straighten them in stages.

Typically, you change your aligner every 1-2 weeks. You should wear your aligner consistently, but it can be removed for cleaning or when you eat.

Aligners mold to the unique shape of your teeth and bite, so they blend in seamlessly . Aligners are hardly noticeable day to day and  are an attractive option if you are looking for straighter teeth but aren’t interested in traditional metal braces.

With clear aligners, you can correct orthodontic issues discreetly, eat your favorite foods, and maintain oral hygiene as you normally would.

Which can aligners treat?

Clear aligners can now correct orthodontic issues just as effectively as braces in many cases. Clear aligners may be the right option for you if you have one or more of the following:

  • Misaligned teeth

  • Overbite

  • Underbite

  • Crossbite

  • Gapped teeth

  • Open bite

  • Crowded teeth

If you had braces as a child but your teeth ultimately shifted back into their original position, clear aligners can help restore your straightened smile.

What are the benefits of clear aligners?

When choosing between braces or clear aligners, consider the advantages of investing in 3M™ Clarity™, such as:

  • Improved comfort

  • Discreet appearance

  • Removable aligners

  • Shorter treatment time

  • Better oral hygiene

  • Fewer surgery visits

Clear aligners can correct orthodontic issues in as little as 6-24 months.

Unlike braces, clear aligners don’t adhere to your teeth. You can remove them to eat, drink, brush, and floss, so they have less impact on your day-to-day life than braces.

5 Steps to Straighter teeth

01

At your consultation, we’ll discuss what you do and don’t like about your smile. We’ll explain the process in detail and check you are suitable for treatment through an oral health check-up.

02

You will have a smile assessment with a UK registered dentist. Following a 3D digital scan* or taking impressions of your teeth, we will create your unique treatment plan.

03

You will collect your first set of clear aligners and the clinician will show you how to fit them. They will also give you all the information you need about how to care for them and your teeth.

04

Once your first aligner has been fitted, you will change your aligners regularly, as directed by your treatment plan. We will monitor your progress regularly to ensure you get the best possible results for your treatment.

05

Once your treatment plan is complete, you will receive a free set of retainers to wear at night as well as a bespoke long-term plan to help maintain your new smile.
