Step 1: Diagnosis and decision-making-

After gathering information via oral X-rays, CBCT scanning and Study models the dentist assesses the treatment options available to you.

The advantages and disadvantages of the various solutions are openly discussed so that you are well-informed on every aspect of the procedure before making a decision.

Step 2: Implantation – the implant is anchored in your jaw

Your dentist creates a suitable “bed” in the jaw bone, and the implant is then gently and with precision placed into the jaw bone.

A healing phase of between 6 to 8 weeks is expected as the bone heals around the implant. This is called osseointegration. Each case is individual and you will be advised about this at the planning stage.

After approximately one week, stitches are removed. Excellent oral hygiene is vital for successful healing.

Step 4: Your new teeth are produced at the dental lab

As your implant integrates itself to the bone during the healing phase, your dentist and his laboratory partners proceed to create your final restoration. This will then be inserted once the healing phase is complete.

Step 5: Placement of the final restoration

Your final restoration is connected to the implant, leaving you free to smile, bite and chew like before.
